Jordanian amateur Mousa Shana'ah added another string to his bow at the Junior Masters Golf Tour after carding a sublime final round seven under par 65 to set the course record at The Track, Meydan.
Jordan’s No.1 amateur, who lives in Dubai, was two over par through his first eight holes at the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) tournament, before turning up the heat with an eagle at the ninth, ensuring he made the turn at level par.
The youngster then made it back-to-back eagles at the tenth, before reeling off four consecutive birdies from the 11th to get to six under for the day.
With the course record in his sights standing on the 18th tee, Shana'ah made his fifth birdie of the day to come home in 29 and sign for a remarkable 65.
"After a slow start, I really kicked it into gear during the back nine and brought my round to a great finish with a course record of 65,” said Shana'ah, who represented Jordan at the prestigious Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship last year.
“I stayed confident and positive throughout and kept my focus on executing my shots. I'm happy with the way I played at the Gem Junior Masters."
